SAILORS OF AMAZING GRACE Stay Focused; Stay Safe; Do Great Things   Stay Focused:  We are a United States Warship.   Combat and Operational Readiness are our mission.  We will maintain our focus through continuous realistic training, performing all required maintenance, aggressively pursuing repairs to all broken equipment and through continuous vigilance.    The citizens of the United States expect this of us every day.   They expect us to be ready at a moment’s notice.   Stay Safe:  The most important asset to the success of HOPPER and our Navy is you.  We will use Operational Risk Management, Operational Sequencing Systems, and our training to mitigate the inherent risk of going to sea in a warship.     Do Great Things:   For Hopper:               HOPPER is a $1 billion dollar investment by the citizens of the United States.  Her purpose is to be ready for    any tasking until the year 2032.  We are maintaining HOPPER for today and for the future when she will be defending our children’s children.    Our success will not only be measured by our collective accomplishments in HOPPER; it will also be measured by the success of our reliefs and that of future crews.   For Yourself and your Family:   Have goals; be in continual pursuit of qualifications, proficiency, promotion and education.  Time is your most precious resource; once spent it cannot be brought back.  Spend it wisely.   Taking care of your family is the first line in optimizing our combat readiness.   The best way to take care of your family is to succeed in your job.               For Each Other:                        We are responsible for each other’s success and failure.  We don’t succeed without mentorship, leadership, and shipmates.  We never fail alone.              T.
